Get to Know Gary

Gary DuBreuil is a professional actor, director, and designer based in Washington, DC. Additional experience includes puppetry, stage management, set construction, and the collaborative creation of new works.

Gary grew up in Plymouth, New Hampshire and studied at Saint Michael’s College, just outside Burlington, Vermont, and at the British American Drama Academy (BADA) in London, where he graduated from the school’s challenging Shakespeare Program.

At Saint Michael’s, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and minors in both English Literature and Medieval History, as well as an induction into the Gamma of Vermont Chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Gary lives in Washington, DC and has toured nationally and worked in theatres around the country, including many around New England and the Twin Cities of Minnesota.

Notable recognitions include performing in the Ivey Award-winning play Street Scene in Minneapolis, in The Complete History of America (Abridged) in New Hampshire, named a New Hampshire Theatre Awards finalist for Best Actor and Best Comedy/Drama, and The Merry Wives of Windsor, named a New Hampshire Theatre Awards finalist for Best Comedy/Drama.

Gary is a world traveler in constant pursuit of new adventures, he is a rock/swing drummer who loves performing live music, and he is a devout follower of New England’s professional sports teams.  He also tries to snowboard as much as possible in the winter.
