Last Minute Roles in R&G

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, 2015Change of plans – I’ve had to leave the Next Day Theater company, but only because I’ve been cast in a production of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, produced by The Flying Muskrats Theatre Company! And no, I don’t know anything about the company’s funky name.

I’ll be playing Polonius, one of the Tragedians, Horatio, and doing some drumming.  I’m excited to work with director Laurie Wessely, get to know the rest of the cast, and perform for the first time in the DC-area.  And they’re calling this “Shakespeare in the Park…sort of” because we’re not performing one of Shakespeare’s own pieces, but we are performing in a park! The amphitheatre at Mason District Park in Falls Church.  And I’m calling the roles last minute because I’m squeezing them in just before heading north to Acadia National Park for the summer – we perform May 23-31.

Coming up very soon after we close R&G is the summer season at Acadia Repertory Theatre on Mt. Desert Island, Maine! The shows and dates have been announced and Subscriber ticket packages are now for sale.  Here are my performance details:

WAIT UNTIL DARK (Playing Mike Talman) – Jul 14-Jul 26
SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURE OF THE SUICIDE CLUB (Playing Dr. Watson) – Aug 18 – Sep 6
HANSEL AND GRETEL (Playing Hansel) – Jul 1 – Sep 5

That’s all for now – and that’s plenty for me!
