The final script has been distributed for the upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet with Advice to the Players in Sandwich, NH and before long I’ll be headed up north to (hopefully not so snowy and cold) New Hampshire again to get to work!
For right now, the name of the game is personal text work and lines memorization. Mercutio has some of the best comedic lines that Shakespeare ever wrote and of course a killer death scene. I’m excited to bring my version of the coveted role to life.
I fly away from DC on March 11th before we begin rehearsals on Friday the 13th (a bit ominous, but I think we’ll be okay) and then open on March 27th at Your Theatre in North Conway, NH. We’ll play there until April 4 and then head “home” to the Sandwich Town Hall Theater in Center Sandwich for performances on April 10-12. We’ll also play at a variety of school venues, bringing this vital work to life for all ages of youngsters.
