The Farnsworth Invention at 1st Stage

December 18, 2017|

THE UGLY ONE has officially closed a terrific run, which means I’m on to 1st Stage and the regional premiere of Aaron Sorkin’s exciting play, THE FARNSWORTH INVENTION!

The play starts in 1929 and follows ambitious visionaries David Sarnoff and Philo Farnsworth as they race against each other to invent a device called “television.” It’s a creative, fast-paced piece and we’ve got a terrific ensemble. I play Cliff, the guy who teaches himself to blow glass and ends up creating the first tube that will make the TV work.

I’m excited to work with 1st Stage and director Alex Levy for the first time. We start rehearsals in mid-January and open […]

The Ugly One with Nu Sass

September 7, 2017|

Coming up this fall is a new-ish play by German playwright Marius von Mayenburg, The Ugly One, a fast-paced, sharp, and very funny dark comedy which tackles themes of individuality and the human sense of self. I play Lette, the ugly one, who is an adult by the time anyone tells him he’s unspeakably ugly. His grief over the revelation leads him to a plastic surgeon with a bold new procedure that will change his life forever…

The show is produced by Nu Sass, a company I’m excited to work with for the first time, and will be performed at Caos on F, a living room-sized venue in downtown DC.

We open on […]

Summer Shakespeare

July 5, 2017|

Opening of As You Like It with Prince George’s Shakespeare in the Parks is fast approaching, and the show is shaping up to be a lot of fun. I’m playing Touchstone (for the second time in less than 2 years) and enjoying the experience of returning to this witty clown with such a playful cast and team.

We have a preview at Catholic University of America on July 10 and tour parks around Prince George’s County, Maryland from July 11 until July 23. All the shows are free, and the calendar of show dates and locations is available online. Check it out and find when you can come!

2017 Spring Shows in DC

April 4, 2017|

The Incest Rep with Brave Spirits is officially open! Reviewers have so far enjoyed the gruesome ‘Tis Pity and the nearly unknown and strangely comedic A King and No King. The shows play until April 23, and there are plenty of opportunities for audiences to plan BST double-headers and see both in one day. BUY TICKETS ONLINE

Rehearsals start shortly for the U.S. Premiere of the stage version of Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s renowned German film Fear Eats the Soul,  adapted by Robert McNamara and a production of Scena Theatre’s 30th Anniversary Season. A compelling story of humanity that highlights the theme of prejudice and the plight of immigrants, Fear Eats the Soul promises to […]

2016-2017 Winter Shows with NextStop and Brave Spirits

December 2, 2016|

This winter is shaping up to be pretty busy with three great projects coming up!

First is the original romantic comedy, Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, at NextStop Theatre. I’ll be playing Borachio, one of the guys who starts all the trouble, and Friar Francis, the guy who figures out how to sort the whole mess out. It’s my first time working with NextStop and I’m excited to get going! Find information about the show and buy tickets on their website.

After that is the Brave Spirits spring repertory featuring John Ford’s ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore and Beaumont and Fletcher’s A King and No King. In ‘Tis Pity I’ll be playing Richardetto and in A King […]
